Going under the knife!

Tomorrow I'm having arthroscopic ankle surgery. I know last time I said was going to try physical therapy first, but after further consideration and consultation with my doctors, I decided to have the surgery. The loose bone fragment isn't doing me any good in my ankle and is probably the main cause of the pain and inflammation. While he's in there, the doctor will remove any scar tissue and loose ligament strands that are causing problems. So, pray for a good outcome and a speedy recovery.

Breanna and Cassidy are doing all right. Cassidy's such a cutie-pie. She's smiley and happy, and we're just waiting for her to burst out laughing. She'll be rolling over soon, too. Breanna's trying to figure out how to get Cassidy to sleep longer stretches consistently through the night. I gave her a book I had on hand that has a "proven" method. (I didn't have quite the same issues when our kids were babies because they both breastfed and slept in bed with us. Night feedings were easy.) I hope she can find an answer that works for her and the baby.

Brenden has begun a glassblowing class at Palomar college, and he really loves it. He's also finishing up his high school work and taking the phlebotomy training. He was let go from the job at Bubble Tea. He said it was because some family member of the owners needed the hours! That doesn't sound fair to me, but oh well. Brenden's applying to work as a pizza delivery driver on weekends. Those hours should work with all his classes.

The weekend in LA with my mom and sisters was lots of fun. Celtic Woman was wonderful in concert. Here are a couple pictures from our time together:

Will close now... lots to do today, as I'll be laid up for a little while while my ankle recuperates from surgery. Dave should be in town at least for the next 10 days to help. I'm still planning to have the birthday party on June 3, 4-7 pm. I'll just be hobbling around a bit. :)

Love and blessings,
