November News

Hi there~

Look! It's only been about two months since I last posted! That's really good for me, don't you think?!

Here's the latest from here....

Business/career news: Negotiations with Krikorian have come down to two options, and neither one provides any income for me. It's a verrrrry long story, and I'll spare you the details. But the bottom line is that by January 1 (sooner if possible), I have to have full-time employment elsewhere. I wish I was further along in my web development education to set up shop as a freelancer, but I'm not at that level yet. Maybe I can find a job doing
that, which would give me some experience. At any rate, I have to start looking immediately. Please pray for me about this! And if you have any work leads of any kind, please let me know! Anywhere in North San Diego County is ideal. Further into San Diego is a possibility, as is South Orange County. I'm still with Edward Jones as an on-call, and am trying to expand my hours with them. But their pay scale is not really sufficient for my needs long-range.

As for housing, I've considered moving someplace cheaper, but last time I looked, it didn't seem like I could save that much, unless I was willing to live in a less desirable neighborhood. I want to keep Breanna and Cassidy with me; they still have nowhere else to go, it appears. So I have to keep in mind their safety and well being while evaluating all this.

My classes are going well. It's almost time to register for next semester, and I want to sign up for two more classes. But I might not be able to manage two, depending on my work situation. I'll try to do at least one. My final project for my web design class is going to be a site for my chiropractor (and good friend) Kelly Gibson. We are having fun planning it. I'll post a link here when it's online.

Dad is feeling well in his post-radiation phase. His PSA numbers are down and the prognosis is good. Mom's spine surgery is December 3. I guess that's the soonest they could get her in. She's in a lot of pain. It's hard to see her dealing with this! Keep her on your prayer list.

One more health note. My cousin, John, had a liver transplant TODAY. Sounds like it went well. Keep him in your thoughts as he recuperates.

Last time I wrote about splitting up with Doug, due to his smoking. Well, he's now beyond 2 months completely free of smoking and is committed never to pick it up again. So we are dating again, and it really is nice to have his support during these difficult times. I've also been having some computer issues and he's been helping me with them. Last Friday he took a half-day off work just to get my notebook computer functioning again. His unselfishness and concern for me (and others, too) is so refreshing. I think I'm pretty lucky to have found him. :-)

Well I have some homework to do, as always! Please take care and keep in touch!

Love,

~Kim
